U-Explore's investment in technology has been recognised by Microsoft who presented us with the Microsoft Award for Innovation Through Technology 2006.
Royal visit by HRH The Earl of Wessex
HRH The Earl of Wessex was treated to a special demonstration of U-Explore when he visited us in January 2008.
Three local secondary school students took the Earl on a virtual tour of businesses and sectors as part of the demonstration and U-Explore CEO Andy Pickles highlighted the importance of employer engagement to education.
"Young people struggle to understand what's beyond the school gates and it's vital to find ways to get them involved with business. U-Explore brings the outside world into school in a way that engages and inspires young people."
On his visit, the Earl also met members of the business community who have been involved in the development of U-Explore and unveiled a plaque to commemorate his visit.
