Case Study

Gordon's School is a voluntary-aided secondary school with academy status near Woking in Surrey, with approximately 750 students aged 11-18 years. As an outstanding school, Gordon’s recognises that a good education is not just about outstanding examination results but a thorough preparation for life.
Glyn School, Ewell, Surrey, is a state boys’ comprehensive school with a long heritage of academic excellence. Jonathan Braybrook, Head of Careers, gives us an insight in to what works when it comes to quality careers provision and how U-Explore plays its part.
The Magna Carta School is an 11-16 academy in Staines, Surrey. It has been awarded specialisms in Technology and ICT and has approximately 1,200 students on roll. At the school’s last inspection in 2013, it was recognised as ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
Kings College recently became a fully sponsored academy, within the Guildford Education Partnership multi-agency trust. It is a mixed school, taking students aged 11 – 18 years old with approximately 500 students on roll.
A recent regional strategy event for schools, delivered with the support of the Hunsley Trust, focused on embedding careers across the curriculum.
