Supporting 'Work Inspiration'

06/10/09

U-Explore is proud to announce that it has become a supporter of the national Work Inspiration campaign which aims to transform work placements into an inspirational experience.

The campaign, which began last month, is fronted by Sir Stuart Rose who launched a national call to action to improve work experience for young people. The new national business-led movement - which sees business talking to business across the county - hopes to improve the quality of work experience for the 500,000 students entering placements in June 2010.

Andy Pickles, Chief Executive of U-Explore, said: "Improving the links between business and young people lies at the very heart of our ethos at U-Explore therefore we wholeheartedly support the new campaign.

"Good, inspirational work experience can really inspire and engage young people, motivating them to achieve success in education and the world of work. At U-Explore we will therefore be looking to create resources which will enable businesses to deliver such exciting work experience placements."

The campaign will address two critical needs, the business need for employable recruits and the social need to provide young people with a clearer picture of work, equipping them to make decisions about their future career paths and increasing their employability skills.
