We are proud to announce that our product U-Explore has undergone a number of exciting changes for early 2010. Here's the lowdown:
Product name change
U-xplore interactive is now called ‘U-Explore'!
Jobcasts:
New detailed video case studies of certain key jobs within an Industry sector are now available. These jobcasts feature footage of the professional performing their duties and responsibilities as well as a detailed interview about their job role. There are now Jobcasts live and online for the following industry sectors:
- Creative and Media
- Business and Finance
- Environmental and Land Based
- Sports and Active Leisure
- Travel and Tourism
Health and Safety section:
A special 360 degree tour containing hotspots that detail potential health and safety hazards, regulations and the control measures required. These tours are essential for Work Experience preparation and also for key units within the new Diplomas. There are now Health and Safety sections live and online for the following industry sectors:
- Creative and Media
- BAF
- SHD
- IT
- Construction
- Engineering
- Manufacturing
- Retail
- Hair and Beauty
- Environmental and Land Based
- Hospitality
New Curriculum 360s
New Diploma Curriculum 360s are now available for:
- Business and Finance
- SHD: (Community Justice focused)
- Hair and Beauty
Inspire Me Magazine
All 14 lines now have the new Spring addition of the Inspire Me Magazine
New Resources on Navigator:
- The Business and Finance diploma resources now have new updated worksheets for Unit 1: Business Enterprise added.
- All 10 lines of the Diploma for gateways 1 and 2 now have completed worksheets for Levels 1 and 2.
- A brand new KS3 Careers Education Scheme of Work featuring Lesson plans, handouts and PowerPoints are now available.
- Additional KS4 Careers IAG resources are now available ensuring that all the learning objectives recommended by the Careers IAG National Framework are now covered.
- New Business Studies GCSE schemes of work are now available for the following key areas:
- Business Studies: Units 1 and 2
- Business Studies and Economics: Units 1 and 2
- Business Communications: Units 1 and 2
- Business Studies Short Course: Units 2 and 6
- A selection of GCSE English Speaking and Listening with embedded Careers IAG activities are now available.
- Foundation Learning Tier Careers IAG resources are now live: these are new lessons that focus on Careers IAG for those learners within the Foundation Learning Tier.
