AN innovative U-Explore product commissioned by one of the UK's busiest airports is now available to young people across the UK.
Manchester Airport commissioned U-Explore to produce 'Manchester Airport Interactive' - an immersive online experience which is now available to students via the airport's existing education website and through U-Explore.
The web-based channel enables Manchester Airport to offer valuable guidance to its current and future workforce and focuses on broadening young people's aspirations, offering careers information, showcasing how the airport works and providing employability advice.
Rich media features such as 360 degree virtual tours, video case study interviews, 'access all areas' videos and an interactive online magazine are all available. The channel also includes a 'talent pool' feature which enables students to express their interest in finding out more about a specific job or opportunity within the airport.
Andy Pickles, chief executive of U-Explore, said: "We are thrilled that Manchester Airport commissioned us to create an online experience which will bring the airport to life for young people. Business investment in education like this empowers students, helps transform learning and enables employers to promote their business needs, future talent and inform current employees."
Wendy Sinfield, Community Relations Manager, Manchester Airport, said:"We were keen to work with U-Explore because as a major economic generator in the North West in an exciting environment many young people naturally contact Manchester Airport to find out more about the huge range of careers that are available here and to understand more about our business.
"The U-Explore site offers a bright and visual platform to contextualise our business, offering behind the scenes views that so many young people really want to see and to have conversations with people already working in the careers that they may be contemplating."
